Band of Buoys

St George Fundraiser

Band of Buoys is a fundraiser intended to honor the Lobstermen and Lobsterwomen of St. George, Maine.  All proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the Maine Lobstermen's Association's Legal Defense Fund, in support of #SaveMaineLobstermen

The MLA is committed to protecting Maine's Lobster fishery and advocates for a sustainable Lobster resource for the fishermen and communities that depend on it, like ours.  As wives of Lobstermen, we feel that raising awareness and support of an organization that seeks to protect and advocate for our fishermen, is a worthy cause.

The Town of St. George approved a Buoy Tree to be built on the corner of Juniper & Main Street in Tenants Harbor.  The tree will display one buoy from each commercial Lobsterman & Lobsterwoman of St. George.  We hope this tree is a symbol of pride for residents and serves as a reminder to all Fishermen, how valued and vital they are.

An Industry that feeds us, is worth protecting.

With Heartfelt Thanks,

Amy Myers, Regan Myers & Michelle Young

In addition to honoring the Lobstermen & Lobsterwomen of St George with a Buoy Tree, we are collecting donations for the MLA's #SaveMaineLobstermen Legal Defense Fund.
